Happy New Year 2013

The start of a new year is always exciting , A list is made of all the great ideas that have formulated over the last few weeks and also of all the things that were not finished the year before. Which brings me to the "make a Goal List". This year is going to be as busy as every with the work continuing on the farm ( and the hopes of moving soon) but I also have 2 exhibits to work on. One is with the Canadian Fiber Arts Group Articulation and the British Material Girls which is called Bridging Waters. The exhibit spent 2012 touring around England and will now tour a few places in Canada. It will be in Winnipeg in May , Victoria in September and Saint John NB at the Saint John Art Center from November to end Jan 2014. I'll have one piece (maybe 2 ) for the Canadian Trip but for the Saint John Exhibit I have 3 finished with one more pending.I will also do a couple Artist talks  while it is at SJAC. The above pictures are of the piece that is on tour and  close up . It s hand felted with beading and embroidery. I love hand stiching in to felt.

So my second exhibt is with a friend here in Sussex .We have the Gallery booked for the month of October. We are still working out details but I think this will be a fun project
In November I played with a bit of clay and had a blast making funky little buttons. I hadded some felt to make book marks and pins some of which I sold but the little wall hanging I decided to keep for my self
